(01) The man behind the menus

Born in Torre del Greco, near Naples, Gino learned to cook at his grandfather Giovanni’s side. Today his name is on six restaurants and a sky bar, each one serving classic Italian food, made with a real focus on quality and provenance.

Gino trained at the Luigi De Medici catering college, moved to London at 18 and has since written 20 cookbooks, becoming one of the UK’s most successful restaurateurs.

Every restaurant carries his name and his approach: classic dishes designed by Gino and his team of chefs, and genuine Italian hospitality.

Suspended over 270 feet above the ground, Sky Bar Terrace is the highest alfresco bar in Liverpool, and unquestionably the chicest spot from which to watch the setting sun.
